We came….we saw….we swam…we laughed and we had a drink (or two) along the way!
It was an absolutely amazing weekend with a landscape that is just breath taking. The sun was out and with the water sparkling that made Loch Lomond even more stunning. Each swim felt incredible, the water was clear and cool (translate that as bloody in Loch Lubnaig) and couldn’t have been any more perfect for our swims.
Meeting Buddies for the first time was an absolute pleasure and I can’t wait for our next swim together.
James was out with his camera, making sure we have pictures which we will be able to look back on for years to come.
Pauline swims like a fish, makes fantastic bread cake but has the weirdest photo collection that has traumatised us all (for your own protection….never….ever…ever…ask to see them!)
One of highlights was Chris taking her first foray into open water swimming. Then, seeing the look of pure elation and joy on her face (after not swimming since March) is something I will never forget. She is an absolutely incredible lady!
Justyna was either feeding us..making us laugh..teasing James (relentlessly)…or cheering somebody on to take a step into the unknown. Whether it was swimming with Chris…or convincing me us can do more than we think.
Thank you all for making it such a memorable time and completely humbling experience. You lot are bloody insane and it was worth every second of it!
