Swimming Connections
People, places and resources to support your swimming journey.
This section brings together swimming connections that have supported my own journey, alongside wider resources that swimmers may find useful. Some of these groups I volunteer with directly, others are run by people I know and trust, and a few are simply organisations or brands I’ve used. Nothing here is sponsored, it’s simply a growing collection of places, people and suppliers of swim kit (because swimmers only need goggles and a costume….right?)

Swimyourswim
SwimYourSwim is an incredibly friendly group that and run regular open‑water swims at venues including Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre and Thrybergh Country Park, where I volunteer as part of the safety support & coaching team.
Alongside their regular swims, they run introduction‑to‑open‑water courses, coaching opportunities and a wide range of organised events — from local sessions to adventures in Scotland, the Lake District, France and even ice swimming in Svalbard. They also offer warm‑weather and winter swim camps for those looking to develop their skills and and enjoy a unique swim experience.
Everything they do is built around safety, support and having fun, creating an environment where swimmers can enjoy the water with confidence.

Streamline Performance
Streamline Performance offers tailored land‑based training designed to help swimmers and triathletes build strength, mobility and confidence out of the water. It’s run by one of the volunteers I work alongside at SwimYourSwim, and although I haven’t trained with them personally, I know the care and expertise they bring to supporting swimmers.
Their programmes focus on improving movement, preventing injury and complementing time spent in the pool or open water, making them a useful option for anyone looking to strengthen their swimming from the dry side.

Simply Swim
SimplySwim have supported the Swim Buddy Network since the early days. Members can enjoy a 10% discount — no commission or personal benefit to me, just a perk for the community.
