What’s Next ?
Well if you’ve read my earlier post and have decided to stay a bit longer, thanks for hanging around. Why don’t you pull up a chair, grab a brew and I’ll give you an idea about what’s next.
Swim Buddy has developed into a really lively group on Facebook, with a lot of useful information and experiences being shared amongst members. The flip side is that sometimes posts and information can appear and then vanish almost as quickly.
So one of the first things I’m aiming to do is to start building a library of workouts and training plans. Now bear in mind these are what me or other members have created for ourselves so some swimmers may feel they are a bit basic. Other swimmers may feel they are spot on and do provide the challenge they are seeking. As with everything in the group there isn’t a ‘single size’ fits all. However, with a bit of luck you will take the bits that are useful to you, then use it, tweak it or just thrash it about a bit and along the way share what you have done.
You will probably have already guessed that we will be posting blogs with our thoughts, experiences, observations and ideas. I’m pretty sure you can understand the reason we have to share them is because they are just so bloomin AWESOME !!!! So if anybody thought great that’s it he’s done two posts he’ll shut up now….well…..you are a bit out of luck because I’m loitering around awhile longer.
We will also be reaching out to our Swim Buddies in the group, to ask for contributions and for you to share with us your knowledge and experiences. We want to hear about how you got started; did you start as a child or return to swimming as an adult, what do you love, what do you hate, do you swim for recreation or to compete, what are your training plans, what motivates you…etc… There have been some truly inspirational stories in the group, so it would be good to share these with other swimmers.
So that is pretty much the plans as we have them so far….
If you have any ideas for future blogs, content in general or if you would like to contribute then message either myself, James or Justyna or drop us an email info@swimbuddynetwork.com
Hi lovely first blog 👍
I did my first masters event which was a bit frightening beforehand but quite fun as well. Could do a bit in that sometime to show that its for all.
Keep going
Hi Caroline, thank you for the kind comments.
If you’d like to drop us a message or email (info@swimbuddynetwork.com) about your masters event that would be good.
